This beautiful home includes an iconic parlor living room with an open chefs kitchen and breakfast bar, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a library / den and a corner home office. Theres a wide balcony off the parlor level plus a large 20 x 40 private landscaped garden.

The house is the first in a row, providing corner exposure on the parlor and garden levels. The parlor has high tin ceilings and tall wrap around windows. Carved double entry doors, a classical archway over the corner bay and a crystal chandelier provide an upscale and authentic Brooklyn townhouse look and feel. Rich hardwood floors and original moldings throughout complete the romantic style.

The windowed kitchen has a large Wolf gas range and oven, stainless steel fridge and Bosch dishwasher, a microwave and double high wood cabinetry wrapping the entire culinary space. Butcher block and stone countertops, custom tile back splash and a large porcelain farm style sink with vintage water fixtures add comfort and character.

Theres a wine nook off the kitchen, and an interior hallway leads to a bright windowed bathroom with clawfoot tub and rain shower, pedestal sink and custom built-in shelving. Also off the hallway is the library / den, which opens onto a rear balcony overlooking the garden below. The library has a great art glass chandelier and carved ceiling molding.

An interior staircase with balustrade leads to the garden level, which has a center hallway and a private gated entrance from under the front stoop. The front corner room is a gracious home office or guest room with two large front-facing windows plus a bay window overlooking the forecourt of the house. A second bedroom with an interior closet and the primary bedroom are further down the hall.

An in-unit suburban-sized LG washer and dryer are in a dedicated hallway closet.

The primary bedroom is expansive. It has a wall of customized closets plus a separate walk-in closet, which is outfitted for hanging and shelving. Theres a windowed door which leads into the rear garden and a large south facing window. The ensuite primary bath is nicer than most four star hotels. Theres a wide mirror above a double vanity with wooden cabinetry below. A walk-in shower has a wall of body sprayers, a rain showerhead and a hand-held showerhead. The shower features temperature control and a stone floor.

The recently updated perennial garden is framed by ivy-covered walls, while slate tiles and river stones create pathways and scenic tableaux throughout the private outdoor space. A wrought iron spiral stair leads up to the large balcony off the library.

The house is one block away from the Nostrand Ave A/C subway, and two blocks from the Franklin Shuttle and the LIRR. Enjoy upscale grocery shopping, several popular gyms, local cafe culture and easy access between Bed Stuy, Crown Heights and Clinton Hill.
